ProSun Tanning Bed Parts by Request

Technician's bench with tanning bed components and test equipment

ProSun International is a long-running American manufacturer of commercial tanning equipment. The company traces its start to 1979 and builds lay-down beds, stand-up booths and, more recently, red light and wellness equipment at its factory in Florida. ProSun beds are a fixture in Michigan salons, and because the company has been building for decades, there are older ProSun units in service alongside the current lines. Sun Systems & Service has worked on ProSun equipment for most of our 35 years. We source ProSun tanning bed parts by request, including for older and discontinued models, and we install in Michigan or ship nationwide after a video session.

Salon owners: a ProSun bed that is down is a room not earning. Call with the model and the symptom. We bring the common parts on the first visit and quote before any work begins.

What ProSun beds are known for

Commercial-grade construction and a wide line. ProSun has built everything from mid-size lay-down beds to high-output beds with facial lamps and tall stand-up booths with high lamp counts. That range means the parts conversation depends heavily on the model: a stand-up booth has different lamps, larger blower fans and a different acrylic arrangement than a lay-down bed, and the higher-output beds use lamp classes and ballasts that smaller beds do not. The electrical requirement is nearly always a dedicated 220 volt circuit sized to the model.

We service and source parts for ProSun beds

Current models and the older generations still running in salons. Relamps are the most frequent request, often on a schedule as part of a salon maintenance plan. Acrylics on heavily used salon beds, gas springs on the lay-downs, fans and thermal parts on the stand-ups, and control boards and timers across the line round it out. For discontinued models we work from the plate, the lamp code and measurements, and we tell you straight if a board cannot be had.

Finding the model and serial plate

On ProSun lay-down beds, look at the end of the base or inside the base near the lamp ends. On stand-up booths, check inside the door frame or low on the rear panel. The plate names the model, serial number, voltage and amperage. have a photo ready of it with your request. If the plate is gone, photos of the bed, the control panel and a lamp end label get us most of the way.

Common ProSun part requests

  • Lamps. Full relamps as a matched set, with the code confirmed against the bed's own requirement rather than against the model name.
  • Acrylics. Bench and canopy sheets, matched to the model and production year, since dimensions changed across years on many lines.
  • Gas springs. Canopy shocks matched by length, force and fitting. Replaced in pairs.
  • Ballasts. Magnetic and electronic, matched to the lamp class and voltage.
  • Starters. Sized to the lamp wattage, included with every relamp.
  • Timers. In-bed timers, remote timers and control boards.
  • Fans and cooling parts and electrical parts such as contactors, lamp holders and cords.

Michigan and nationwide

In Michigan we come to the salon or the home, install the part and test the bed at full output. We have served hundreds of Michigan salons since 1990 and we are open 7 days, 9 to 6. Outside Michigan, book a virtual repair session: Stan looks at the bed on your phone, names the part, we ship it, and he walks you through the install on a follow-up call. Buying a used bed of this brand? A video inspection before you pay tells you what it will need.

Frequently asked questions

Do you service ProSun stand-up booths?

Yes. Stand-up booths have their own lamp sizes, larger fans and a different acrylic arrangement from lay-down beds, and we handle all of it. Relamps, fans, thermal switches, acrylic panels, timers and electrical faults. In Michigan on site, elsewhere by video session with parts shipped.

Can you get a control board for an older ProSun bed?

Often. Boards are the most model-specific part on any bed, and availability depends on the model and year. We check before you spend anything, and if a board cannot be had we will tell you whether a repair or a compatible replacement makes sense.

Do you offer relamping on a schedule for salons?

Yes. Many Michigan salons have us relamp their ProSun beds on a set interval based on hours, with starters replaced at the same time and acrylics and fans checked while the bed is open. One visit, every bed, before the busy season.
